The Grand River Conservation Authority is asking water users throughout the Grand River watershed are being asked to cut their water consumption by 10 percent due to the dryer than usual weather.

Low rainfall since April has caused reduced stream flows throughout the watershed and the GRCA is using its large upstream reservoir to augment river flows to keep low flow targets on the Grand and Speed Rivers.

The GRCA continues to operate their reservoirs carefully to meet flow targets downstream and help augment flows during the summer.

All information on the Low Water Response Program can be found from the conservation authority website.
