Grant funding has been announced through the province’s Experience Ontario program.
Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae announced $235,000 in funding to support festivals and events which help attract jobs and brings in visitors and boost economic development.
Rae in a release saying our tourism industry employs a lot of people and provides many good paying jobs locally and the government is continuing to support the vital sector as it rebuilds from the pandemic years.
The program which started up in 2007 as Celebrate Ontario has invested more than $284 million towards more than 3600 Ontario festivals and events.
