More than 720 families, farms and business in Huron County will get a boost in high speed internet following a federal and provincial government investment.
Both governments are providing $1.4 million in funding to bring reliable high speed internet to Huron County, partnering up with Southwestern Integrated Fibre Technology (SWIFT) to make it so.
The boost will be given to residents near Bluewater Beach, areas south of Benmiller and residents of Porter’s Hill, Marnoch and Hutton Heights.
MPP Lisa Thompson says the boost will support the growing utilization of real data on farm and in rural businesses and supporting people to stay in touch with their loved ones.
