Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health has issued new guidelines for students and back to school in regards to handling COVID-19.

Among the guidelines outlined by Dr. Nicola Mercer, fully vaccinated students will not need to isolate if their exposed to a confirmed case of COVID-19 and can continue to attend class but will need to monitor for any symptoms at which they would then need to isolate should symptoms show up.

Unvaccinated or partial vaccinated students will still need to isolate for 14 days if exposed to a confirmed case.

Dr. Mercer recommends all students aged 12 and up to receive both vaccine doses at least three weeks apart.
