The region isn’t out of the woods yet when it comes to freezing rain.
A special weather statement is in effect across the area with freezing rain expected to arrive later this week starting Wednesday morning and throughout into Thursday.
Environment Canada says ice build up is expected which could cause tree branches to break, highways, roads, walkways and parking lots can become icy and hazardous.
On top of it, heavy rain is expected with amounts of 20-40mm expected with a risk of thunderstorms.
