The Upper Grand District School Board is remembering School Board Trustee Bruce Schieck who recently passed away.
The board says Bruce was a champion for public education being first elected as a trustee in the former Wellington County Board of Education in 1991 and served with UGDSB from 1998-2018.
In 2018 he was named a recipient of the Ontario Public School Boards Association Presidents Award given to those who stood by their vision and selflessly given of themselves to the students and parents for more than 25 years.
