As the discussion continues around Wilmot Township farmers facing land loss, Fight for Farmland is continuing to urge those to stand up and support local agriculture.
The Fight for Farmland Group has been calling for transparency and will host town hall meetings for the community starting this week.
The group is inviting Wilmot residents for a town hall meeting to discuss the Wilmot Land Assembly project which will be held at the New Hamburg Community Centre on Thursday as well as June 24th starting at 7pm.
The ticketed event has guaranteed entry until 6:50pm after which non ticket holders will be allowed in up to a capacity of 300.
The community has rallied for landowners with over 36,000 petition signatures and around 3000 lawn signs at homes and farms across the Waterloo Region.
