A Fergus retiree is $40 million richer who cashed in big on a Lotto Max jackpot.
Elizabeth Trafford says she purchased her ticket at Blinkhorn’s Corner Variety on St David Street which hit the jackpot in the December 10th draw.
Trafford says when they told her how much she won when she went to check her tickets she started to hyperventilate.
After getting the news, she called her son who says even he needed a few minutes to understand it wasn’t a joke.
Trafford says she wants to make sure her son and his wife are taken care of and give back in a meaningful way.
