Fergus native and Paralympic wheelchair basketball star Patrick Anderson was recently back in his hometown to unveil a sign put up in his honour.
The Home of Patrick Anderson welcome signs in Fergus were first proposed by students at Elora Public School who presented the idea to Centre Wellington council.
Print Factor Media donated the signs in support, getting approval from council to move forward.
The sign can be found on St David Street North by the Freshco parking lot with a second sign on Tower Street near McQueen Boulevard on the south end of Fergus.
