Fergus Man Among 64 People Charged in Online Child Exploitation Investigation

 

A Fergus man is among the 64 people charged in a province wide investigation of online child exploitation.

OPP announced the results of their province investigation dubbed Project Aquatic.

Members of the OPP’s Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet all took part in a child sexual abuse investigations both reactive and proactive.

The investigations began February 19th and wrapped up February 29th with investigators identifying and arresting those making, possessing and disturbing child sexual abuse material.

34 victims were identified, 30 children were safeguarded, 64 people were charged, 348 charges were laid with 607 electronic devices seized.
