Federal party leaders took part in Thursday nights English debate, their last chance to sway voters before Canadians head to the polls on September 20th.
All leaders opposing the Liberal party took shots at Trudeau for calling an election while Afghanistan was falling to the Taliban.
Trudeau took fire back accusing them of talking down the work of the military and diplomats to get 3,700 people out of the country.
Leaders also debated Indigenous issues with NDP leader Jagmeet Singh saying Trudeau is taking a knee on the issue.
Conservative leader Erin O’Toole says he would like to see the Canadian flag raised on September 30th for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation with a commitment to move forward.
PPC leader Maxime Bernier was not invited to take part in the debate as he did not meet the independent Leaders Debates Commissions criteria for participating.
