Federal Government to Introduce International Travel Vaccine Passport

Government document to be used for international travel

 

The federal government will be rolling out a government document for fully vaccinated Canadians to certify their COVID-19 vaccine information for the purpose of international travel.

The digital document is expected to be ready in the fall with an option for those who don’t want a digital document.

Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Dominic LeBlanc says the program has to be done with other provinces and territories since they have the information required for such a document.

LeBlanc adding province’s who want to add a provincial passport is an option on the table.
