The Federal government  suggested today that Canada needs to have at least 75% of the population vaccinated before the Canada US border can reopen.
The Prime Minister confirmed that discussions about the border continue but he wants to limit expectations that travel restrictions could be lessened in the short term.
Non-essential land travel between the Canada and US has been prohibited since March last year and it is expected to be extended into June this week.
Trudeau said that Canada is still not out of it’s third wave of Covid-19 and has much work to do before it’s safe for travel to resume
