Upon further investigation and based on information received from the Ontario CEntre of Forensic Science, Wellington County OPP have laid further charges against a driver involved in a fatal collision near Elora in August.
In addition to the original charges, the 24 year old male driver of Kitchener has been charged with operation while impaired by alcohol or drug causing death and 2 counts of operation while impaired causing bodily harm.
A 90 day driver’s license suspension was initiated as well. The accused is scheduled to appear in a Guelph Court on October 10th to answer to the charges.
On August 1st Wellington County OPP responded to a collision where a coupe collided with a SUV on Wellington Road 21, Pilkington.
As a result of the collision, a passenger in the coup was pronounced deceased at the scene and 2 other passengers sustained life altering injuries.
