During last nights council meeting, North Perth council discussed the extension of Queen Street southward in Atwood to turn vacant lots into a public highway.
In order to get started, council must pass a by-law to establish a block in Atwood as a public highway to open up Queen Street as well as enter an development agreement with Loan Oak Properties.
The vote carried 10-0 to consider the establishment of the highway in Atwood. It will be discussed further at a later date.
