All is set in a few weeks for the grand opening of the Erin Village Branch of the Wellington County Library.
The library takes the space of an 1849 grist mill which has been re-imagined into a public library, blending history with an inviting community space.
The property was purchased by Wellington County in 2022 with the intent of moving the library out of its location at Centre 2000.
The 1849 Grist Mill is one of Erin’s most significant and distinctive 19th century landmarks. It was one of several mills built by Daniel McMillan, one of the founding fathers of Erin, alongside his younger brothers Charles and Hugh.
The grand opening will take place on February 18th starting at 2pm for tours with official remarks taking place at 3.
