An end of year prank has a pair of students from Stratford District Secondary School in some hot water.
The two grade 12 students admitted to igniting a smoke bomb in a garbage can June 22nd at around 2:30pm.
Smoke had filled the hallways in the school, triggering the fire alarm and forcing students and staff from the school and neighbouring St Michael Catholic secondary school and YMCA daycare.
The Stratford Fire Department was deployed and with investigation by police, was able to identify the students involved.
The students were referred to a community program instead of facing charges.
