Enbridge Gas is supporting the West Perth Fire Department in purchasing firefighting training materials through the Safe Community Project Assist.
The program is with the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council which provides existing training for Ontario volunteer and composite fire departments in the communities where Enbridge operates.
This year will see a $250,000 be split between 50 Ontario fire departments, including West Perth who received $5000 to purchase educational materials for firefighters to enhance life saving techniques.
In a release, Fire Chief Bill Hunter says the West Perth Fire Department is very grateful for the donation, adding it has allowed them to modernize their training library and will be a fantastic benefit to their firefighters and ultimately for the residents.
