Due to nursing staff shortages, the Emergency Departments in Listowel and Wingham will be closing during the following days:
- Wingham and District Hospital – July 9th at 5:00am to July 10th at 7:00am
- Wingham and District Hospital – July 10th at 5:00pm July 11th at 7:00am
- Listowel Memorial Hospital – July 9th at 5:00pm to July 10th at 7:00am
Closures are a temporary but necessary step that many hospitals have to take. All hospitals in South Western Ontario are experiencing staff shortages from many departments.
If you are having a medical emergency, call 991. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) will still be in the community, but will be re-routed to the nearest hospital with an open Emergency Department.
