Education Minister Stephen Lecce says the province wants a child care deal with the federal government.

Lecce says Ottawa currently contributes 2.5 per cent of Ontario’s child care costs but adds they could be doing much more.

The federal government has finalized deals with seven other provinces and one territory on its $30 billion, five year child care plan which promises to cut fees to just $10 a per day.

Lecce says a good deal for Ontario is coming but he wants to make sure its one which is flexible.
