Education Funding Shortfalls Hits Millions in Listowel

According to an education cut tracker, Listowel school’s have had millions cut in cumulative provincial funding between 2018-2015.

The Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario has released a tracker which looks up how much money schools could have received if provincial education budgets kept pace with inflation.

Listowel Eastdale is said to have $1,053,133.49 cut in the 2018-2025 time period, North Perth Westfield having $2,258,895.02 cut while Listowel DSS saw $2,823,618.77 cut.

The loss is calculated based on inflation adjusted figures for the cumulative provincial funding cuts to public education between 2018-19 and 2025-26.
