In a letter released this month by the East Wellington Family Health Team the Executive Director of the Erin based facility provided an update to the Patients of Dr. Parent advising that it has been unable to find a physician to cover the roster of patients of the doctor as of August 1st.
The Doctor has been on medical leave since January and isn’t expected back until November.
Previous they had been covered by the facility’s other physicians. The clinic advises that as a result there will be no patient-facing care options for her patients as of that date.
Ongoing prescriptions will continue to be renewed, doctors will continue to receive and review blood work and other test results ordered and those patients are still able to access their Saturday clinics for acute needs.
For the rest of the cases those patients are told to access the Walk-in clinic in their area.
