A drug poisoning alert issued on June 3rd by the Wellington Guelph Drug Strategy has been updated due to a continued rise in incidents in the area.
From June 4th-9th 9 additional drug poisonings have been reported.
WGDS says this highlights the continued toxicity and unpredictability of the unregulated drug supply currently circulating.
Substances may not be what people are expecting which can lead to increasing risk of harm or death.
