Crime is down across Wellington County according to a year end report by Wellington County OPP staff.
In 2021 the largest drop in calls is from driving complaints with a total of 2589 calls on the issue, a drop of 9 per cent when compared to numbers from 2020.
2nd to that comes from police assistance related needs with 2430 calls and motor vehicle collisions saw a total of 1823 calls.
The pandemic is likely a cause for a drop in crime over the last 2 years with 2020 seeing a drop in calls to a total of 24,660.
This comes after a record high in 2019 with 32,699.
