Harvesting season can pretty commonly be seen in the fall but many farmers keep busy with harvest in the summer as well.

The window to harvest in the summer months can be very timely to keep track with the weather. Residents are reminded to keep in mind of farm vehicles out on the roads for the season.

Sara Wood from the Perth County Federation of Agriculture says it can be difficult for those operating large farm vehicles to notice other drivers.

“You might think they can see you but they maybe can’t. Be careful when passing, we don’t want to see any accidents with farm machinery.” said Wood.

Wood adding always make sure its safe before passing a slow moving vehicle and ensure there will be enough time to do so.
