Driver Switcheroo Results in Impaired Charges in North Perth

Officers observed a vehicle pulling into a private driveway and the occupants switching seats.

Perth County OPP have charged a driver with impaired charges after officers observed them switching spots with a passenger which resulted in a traffic stop.

Officers were on general patrol on Perth Road 140 on April 24th just before 4pm when an officer saw a vehicle pull into a private laneway and occupants switched seats.

Following a traffic stop it was determined the driver was impaired.

A 41 year old male of Wellington North has been charged with impaired driving by drugs charges and a 42 year old of Mount Forest has been charged with driving a vehicle with no license.

The drivers license was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle impounded for a week. The other accused was issued a Provincial Offence Notice.
