One person has been taken to hospital after a driver was trapped in their vehicle while sinking.
On September 16th at around 10:30am, OPP were called with fellow emergency services to Wellington Road 124 and the landing into Guelph Lake.
Good Samaritans were already inside the lake helping the trapped driver from the submerged sedan.
The driver was safely brought to shore and was assessed by EMS and taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Over the course of investigation it was found a guard rail was damaged. Investigation remains ongoing.
