Driver charged with impaired driving after crash into field

A Tiverton driver has been charged with impaired driving after crashing into a field.

Perth County OPP were called to Perth Road 119 at Line 43 just before 2am after a driver drove straight through the stop sign.

The investigation revealed the driver, who was westbound on Line 43, failed to stop at the stop sign at Road 119 and drive into a farm field.

The driver was not injured in the collision.

A 23 year old Tiverton resident has been charged with operation of a vehicle while impaired and blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus.
