A transport truck which lost its load in Stratford saw a shutdown of Erie Street earlier this week.
On June 25th just before 10am Stratford Police was notified of the truck losing its load on Erie Street in the area of Lorne Avenue East.
Police discovered the truck lost six metal carts weighing around 1000 pounds each.
The carts carrying large cylinders spread across three lanes of traffic which resulted in the Erie Street closure for around an hour.
During investigation police learned the total weight of the load which was on wheels was around 10,000 pounds with the load being secured by two ratchet straps with a maximum load rating of 1000 pounds each.
The driver and company have both been charged with having an insecure load under the Highway Traffic Act.
