The price of the new water tower for Drayton is beginning to to rise over its expected budget.
Township council gave the contract to Landmark Structure CO for the new tank in Drayton. The project was given at a cost of $6,149,000 plus HST. Reports given to council show the price is around 30 percent higher design cost.
The growing community and to ignore the issue could result is running out of water pressure in the area.
The project of the elevated tank is expected to be completed by August of 2022.
