A partnership with the Drayton Rotary Club will help create a new nature focused multi use park.
Mapleton council will be financing the $100,000 up front cost for the project with an understanding which the club will reimburse the town for the full amount over the course of five years.
A pollinator garden, memorial trees and commemorative benches could be part of the plan of the multi-use park.
The Drayton Rotary Club has plans to raise funds for the project through fundraising campaigns, sponsorships and grants.
