The Drayton Rotary Club made the exciting announcement of a recent payment the club had made in the first year of their 5-year commitment for the Drayton Rotary Park.

In the release they say that in October of last year they came before the Township of Mapleton Council with a joint proposal for the park and the Township agreed to finance the $100,000 upfront with the Club paying it back over 5 years.

The park officially opened on July 16th in conjunction with the Rotary Club’s 75th anniversary.

The Club says due to amazing community support the Drayton Rotary Club raised and paid off $80,000 of the Drayton Rotary Club Project with just $20,000 remaining over the next 4 years of the 5-year commitment.

The Club say they are excited to move into the next round of fundraising for the park to include a lookout, sunshades, signage and other park necessities.
