Medical Officer of Health for Huron-Perth Dr. Miriam Klassen is looking to keep the regions vaccine rate strong.
Dr. Klassen says while the vaccine rate has been great she wants to encourage those who still haven’t gotten their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
“We would like to see more individuals under the age of 40 get their first dose. There is still a large proportion of the population, those 40 and under who have not yet been vaccinated.” said Dr. Klassen.
Across Huron-Perth, since July 6th 74% of residents aged 12 and up have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine with 41% being fully vaccinated.
