Six juvenile domestic lion head rabbits were found abandoned in Rockwood.
The rabbits were found behind the Alma Street Foodland at around 6:40pm on March 20th with an animal services officer called from the Guelph Humane Society from the person who found them.
The rabbits appear to be 4-7 months old and upon assessment the rabbits were found in neglected condition and require veterinary care.
Katherin Leonard, Senior Manager, Community Service says if these young ones were left where they were found they would have succumbed to disease or predators adding their gratefulness to the member of the public who reached out to ensure they could access to the care they need.
