The Huron County OPP say a Howick resident remains in custody on numerous charges following a domestic violence investigation by Police earlier this week.
On Monday, officers responded to a residence on Fordwich Line after receive a report of domestic violence taking place at the residence.
An investigation resulted and numerous domestic related offences were disclosed by the victim. Further a resulting search resulted in police seizing a firearm that was stored in an unsafe manner.
A 55 year old of Howick has been charged with:
- 2 counts of assault with a weapon
- Mischief
- 2 counts of uttering threats
- 2 counts of ailing to comply with a probation order
- unauthorized possession of a firearm
- possession of a firearm despite being prohibited
- 2 counts of failing to comply with release conditions
The accused remains in custody.
