Coming off the success of last month’s Dodge for Dads, the Well Youth Hub in Listowel was able to see the benefits of the proceeds.
Dodge For Dads which marked 3 years is run by Perth-Wellington MP John Nater as a now annual dodge ball tournament helping to raise awareness for mental health.
This year saw a full turnout for teams including the introduction of a youth division which saw $1410.10 be raised for the Well Hub.
Nater says its great to see more and more hubs open up in just about every community.
“It’s great, its really a testament to the community support who come out and support. Whether its out here at The Well or the Grove in Palmerston or elsewhere it’s a great group of people supporting opportunities for young people. If someone wants to come through the door, its open and that’s I think its the big point, it’s there when anyone needs it.” said Nater.
The Well Youth Hub in Listowel helps connect youth and the community for mental health services to things as simple as getting a snack or a place to charge your phone and help with resume building.
