Deputy Mayor Dave Turton will be seeking to be the next mayor of Minto.
Mayor George Bridge announced earlier this year he would not be seeking re-election this coming October as Turton filed his nomination papers on May 2nd.
He’s coming off his first term as deputy mayor who has served as a councilor since 2003.
Turton, who also holds a position as chief engineer at Darling Ingredients Rothsay plant but is planning to retire from the position in September.
The municipal election will be held in Minto on October 24th.
