Debate on Federal Budget Opens in House of Commons

NDP to likely save Liberals from election

 

Debate starts today on the federal budget in the House of Commons.

Its likely the Conservatives will propose an amendment to the budget while Bloc Quebecois will propose a sub-amendment.

Both leaders of the respected parties have said they will propose their own economic plan away from the budget delivered.

The Liberal minority government needs at least one major party in support to avoid an election which may be given from the NDP.

Leader Jagmeet Singh saying his party won’t be doing anything to trigger an election in the midst of the third wave of COVID-19.
