The province is investing back to support Crime Stoppers Guelph-Wellington.
Ontario is giving $110,000 to the program over the next two years as part of its efforts against cybercrime.
Crime Stoppers is among one of 18 non profits, community based groups and First Nations Chiefs and band councils receiving support of a fund of $1.6 million.
Crime Stoppers will be using the funds and continue to work with OPP and Victim Services Wellington to increase awareness and get a better understanding of cybercrimes and support victims.
Cybercrime has been an increasing issue across the country.
Canada has seen a rise of 152 per cent increase in cybercrime between 2017-2021.
