A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at the Louise Marshall Hospital in Mount Forest after two cases of the virus were found on the inpatient unit.
In a release, the Wellington Health Care Alliance says the hospital is working with public health in response to the outbreaks which includes COVID-19 testing for patients and ongoing monitoring of staff.
There is no inpatient visiting permitted at the hospital.
The hospital’s emergency department, diagnostic imaging and ambulatory care remain open.
