The County of Wellington announced at Today’s Council Meeting that they had purchased the former Mundell Lumber property including the Historic Grist Mill in the Town of Erin.

County Warden Kelly Linton outlined the County’s plan to create a new library and also directed staff to pursue affordable housing options to also be built on the property.

Allan Alls, Mayor of the Town of Erin says that residents have been looking forward to the redevelopment of this property for years, and the opportunity to building housing for those with more modest needs in the community is something we’ve needed for a long time.

The County says they will continue to provide updates on the development as they become available.
