North Perth council is expected to get an intake update in regards to the Attainable and Affordable Housing Community Improvement Plan.
This plan was launched by council in August 2024 with this plan having supported the construction of 15 affordable residential rental units and 35 attainable residential rental units.
As part of the Additional Residential Dwelling Units, the program provides grants covering 50 per cent of eligible projects of $10,000 or $15,000 if sustainable/green building criteria is met.
Heading to council tonight, $100,000 was approved through the 2026 budget with this approval going to council.
