North Perth council is giving their support to Applebottom Orchards to get a By-the-Glass Endorsement from the AGCO.
This endorsement would allow the orchard to serve their manufactured hard cider on site as a way to boost visitor experiences.
In order to get this approval from the AGCO however, a business needs support from the council of where they operate of which Applebottom runs out of the Wallace Ward.
Matt Cardiff, Agricultural Specialist for the Municipality says this endorsement could help build on the local food maps and the continued popularity of farm to table.
“As we heard in the Perth County report, experiential tourism and farm to table things are extremely popular. I’m very excited about Applebottom adding this offering to their operation.” said Cardiff.
Council needed little discussion on the topic who approved and have given their support to Applebottom Orchards on their endorsement.
