Listowel’s Corey Conners has his 2nd PGA win at the same tournament he won his first, the Valero Texas Open.
Conners was hot off the start, he finished day 1 with the lead and he never slowed down over the weekend.
He finished Sunday at -15, a one streak victory ahead of Samuel Stevens.
Well over 2000km from home, Conners says it was still great to see plenty of support at Texas Open.
“It feels pretty sweet 4 years later. Thanks to all the fans who were out here cheering me on, I saw some Canadian flags and everyone in Texas has been so nice to me. I really felt the love.” said Conners.
The Listowel native has little time to celebrate as he eyes a Green Jacket at The Masters in Augusta which gets underway April 6th.
Conners has multiple top 10 finishes at the Masters in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
