The Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board has received a donation of CNC machinery for St Michael Catholic Secondary School in Stratford.
The donation comes from the Canadian Tooling and Machining Association, Ontario Council for Technology Education and part of the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development from the Skills Development Fund.
The new CNC milling machine and five desktop training units will give students hands on experience before using the larger CNC mill.
This represents an investment of around $90,000 in the school’s manufacturing facilities.
