Multiple charges were laid during a commercial motor vehicle blitz in Wellington County.
On June 16th, Wellington County OPP alongside the Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Finance, Guelph Police, Halton Regional Police and West OPP conducted the blitz in Erin.
As a result of the CMV inspections, these are the following results:
- 37 Inspections
- 20 Vehicles being put out of service
- 61 Charges
- 52 Warnings
- 3 Plate seizures
- 1 Tow truck impounded under the TSSEA
- 3 Charges by MOF for Fuel Tax offences
The enforcement initiative was focused on finding unsafe vehicles, unfit riders and non compliance with commercial vehicle regulations.
