CIBC’s Run for the Cure is gearing up to take place on Sunday October 2nd.
The run is known as one of Canada’s largest single day, volunteer organized events in support breast cancer funding which started in 1992.
Locally, in Listowel the run will take place at the Listowel Memorial Park in a rain or shine event.
Kim Hutchings says a lap at the park totals 1km which works well for the event.
“The run can be 1km or 5km. So for those who just want to do 1 lap that is welcomed or those who want to do 5km, they can do the full 5 laps.” said Hutchings.
Locally, the Listowel campaign goal is $1000 which to date has neared its goal of over $800.
