Charges Stayed Against Wife of OPP Officer

Charges have been stayed against Brenda Dolderman.

The wife of an OPP officer was charged with disclosing private communications on March 8th which police say a document emailed to three senior members of the OPP on March 2nd after an audio recording of a confidential conversation was illegally obtained in 2020 with transcriptions being made.

Brenda plead guilty to obstructing justice in relation to sexual assault allegations against her husband and was sentenced to 3 months house arrest and 12 months of probation.

A charge of disclosing private information has been stayed meaning for the time being, court proceedings are on hold.

Her husband, a 21 year member of OPP faces five counts of sexual assault and five counts of breach of trust who will appear in court next Tuesday.
