Charges against an OPP officer who passed away last month have been dropped.
Mike Dolderman, a 21 year member of the Wellington County OPP was arrested in April 2020 and charged with five counts of sexual assault and five counts of breach of trust.
Dolderman died on November 17th due to cancer.
On Tuesday, the Crown requested all charges against Dolderman be withdrawn.
The Crown can request charges be withdrawn when there is no reasonable prospect of conviction or it is not in the public interest to pursue a conviction.
Dolderman’s trial was scheduled for next year.
