The CFUW Stratford is a local network of area women promoting lifelong learning, woman and girls rights and a peaceful sustainable future.

The group has now turned their focus on supporting a letter writing campaign in efforts to restore recent Via Rail service changes that have seen train service reduced to and from Stratford to Toronto.

Previously trains departed Stratford for Toronto at 8:40am. This has now been pushed back to 11:16am.

This has resulted to a maximum time in Toronto of just over 4 hours from what previously was nearly a full day at over 6 hours.

The Region recently saw Go Transit Train service added to the area but the service is not currently offered on weekends and it’s departure time of 8:35 am is seen as too early for a day trip to Toronto says the CFUW.
